I feel we place inclusion and diversity at the forefront of everything we do every day. It starts with always seeking to understand and get a pulse on how everyone is feeling. We do this by surveying our employees on an ongoing basis to gather their feedback in areas like belonging, fairness, opportunity and most of all, asking if they feel like they're being heard.

Our aim is to create an environment where every employee feels valued and respected and where unique experiences and viewpoints are celebrated. We actively promote equality, ensuring that the opportunities for growth and development are accessible to all irrespective of gender, age, race, disability or background.

I've worked at Elsevier for eight years. I see genuine commitment from my colleagues and from the executive team to build an environment where everyone is valued. For example, take a look at the executive team and you'll see that 50 % are women, including the CEO, the CTO, and the Head of Operations.

I’m particularly passionate about the Rising TIDE internship program, where we’ve been nurturing diverse talent for the past four years, and mentoring for Elsevier Enabled, one of Elsevier’s employee resource groups dedicated to promoting disability confidence within our business.
